David Earnshaw comes from Blackburn in Lancashire, he is one of six children and became a follower of the Lord Jesus at age fourteen. After a period of five years in horticulture he then trained for ministry in Cardiff before taking up pastorates in Swansea (10 years) and then Swindon (13 years). For the past two years he has been committed to itinerant work, travelling the length and breadth of the country expounding God’s Word. David is married to Jane and has been married for twenty-six years! He still lives
in Swindon and this is his third visit to Keswick in Buckie.
Ian Coffey is a Baptist minister who has led churches in suburban, city-centre and international contexts. For four years he pastored an international church in Geneva. Ordained in 1975, he is Director of Leadership training at Moorlands College on the South Coast of England. Moorlands is an inter-denominational, international theological college affiliated to the University Of Gloucestershire offering courses at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. Ian is married to Ruth and they have four adult sons. The Coffeys regularly take part in conferences and church events around the world.

Colin Adams is married to Nicki. They have four children: Glen, Rebekah, Grace and Beth. Since August 2009, Colin has been the pastor of Ballymoney Baptist Church in Northern Ireland. Colin previously served as an assistant pastor at Charlotte Baptist Chapel in Edinburgh for six years. Having graced the Keswick in Buckie platform over the weekend in January 2009, it’s lovely to have him return as one of our summer preaching team this year. Colin will be leading the morning Bible Studies throughout the week.

Exodus and Leviticus

July 11, 2010

I’ve really enjoyed preparing overview sermons on Exodus and Leviticus.  Here were the outlines:

Exodus

1. God’s Redemption of His People (Ex ch 1-18)

  • the people in need of redemption
  • the person involved in redemption
  • the price required for redemption

2. God’s Covenant with His People (Ex ch 19-24)

  • its context
  • its conditions
  • its ceremony

3. God’s Presence with His People (Ex ch 25-40)

  • a foreshadow of Christ’s presence in the world
  • a foreshadow of God’s presence in the church

Leviticus:

1.  Approaching a Holy God Through Sacrifice (Lev ch 1-16)

  • the offerings
  • the offerer

2. Imitating a Holy God Through Obedience (Lev ch 17-27)

  • holiness is a reflection
  • holiness is a distinction
  • holiness is an obedience
