Don’t Entertain Goats

March 16, 2011

‘The pastor is called to feed sheep, even if sheep do not want to be fed.  He is certainly not to become an entertainer of goats. Let goats entertain goats, and let them do it out in goatland. You will certainly not turn goats into sheep by pandering to their goatishness.”

(William Still, The Work of the Pastor, p23)

  1. I thought the job of the minister like athat of the Aaronic priest was to offer both the morning and evening sacrifice. Also the evening sacrifice is to be double that of the morning and forget not the showbread and the candles and candle stick. Were there any goats in ancient Israel yes but the main thing in Israel was not that it was worship and glorification. We don’t mean anything nor should we worship and glorification is most important. When this central than hopefully our priest will be clothed with salvation.

    Sincerely,
    David
