Resolve 07

October 10, 2007

I’m looking forward to speaking at this tomorrow night. See Scott Hamilton’s blurb below. If the sessions get recorded I’ll let you know.

Who’s it aimed at?-
It’s aimed at people who want to spend time thinking Biblically about God. The idea is to try and increase the commitment to Biblical truth in the local church. We have summarised it in terms of deep truth preached in plain language with great passion. It comes out of a commitment to doctrine and maintaining its place as central to the teaching and life of the local church. So it’s a kind of open house at Castlemilk Community Church.

What does it cost?
It’s free (although there will be offering buckets at the door to try and meet costs- so students will love it). The three guys are young preachers who pastor local churches in Stirling, Edinburgh and St. Andrews and are totally fired up about the Gospel. It won’t be a dry academic exercise but will be an attempt to show how knowledge of the truth leads to Godliness (Titus 1:1).

Why should I come?
You should come because doctrine matters. You should come because we all need to be reminded to focus once again on the awesome majesty of God. You should come because God will use His truth to transform your life into one of responsive righteousness marked by Godliness. You should come because it won’t be a dry academic exercise but will be an attempt to show how knowledge of the truth leads to Godliness (Titus 1:1).

Where is it?
The address of the church is
Castlemilk Community Church
150 Ardencraig Road
Castlemilk
Glasgow
G45 0JG

If you want to contact me this can be done via e-mail at scotthamilton5@ tiscali.co.uk (please note, there should be no space following the @ but is inserted to stop spammers).

The meetings will start at 7:30pm with some praise, followed by an interview with the Hamish, Colin and Liam. They will then come and share God’s Word with us. The meeting should be finished by 9pm. We look forward to seeing you there.
