Thank you, thank you, thank you. I just listened to Piper’s entire ‘lecture’ on preaching while surfing the web. On more than one occasion, I stopped clicking my mouse to soak in his passionate comments. If there is one thing I admire and respect about Piper is his conviction about what preaching REALLY is.
About a year ago I heard him speak in person at a church 20 minutes away from where I live. Piper spoke out of Psalm 42 and my wife and I STILL remember the message due to the fact of his conviction that he truly believed what he was preaching.
I have borrowed a quote from this lecture on preaching by Piper and labeled it: “What is Biblical Preaching?(as defined by Piper). A very self-examining quote.
