Meaning what, exactly?
Sorry Milton. On reflection, this was a little ambiguous!
What I meant was: the preachers’ heart should never be bypassed during preaching preparation. He must never take truth from the text and, personally unaffected, simply ‘pass it on’ to the congregation. He must be a conduit. His own heart must be moved first. Then and only then should he seek to see the congregation so affected.
